It was such a good week in Saphan Suung! We saw insane miracles with getting people to come to church for the ward split. I can't remember if I talked about it last week or not, but yesterday Saphan Suung split into 2 wards. It was a huge deal for this stake. It took 30 years for the first stake, 18 years for the second, then not even another year for the second stake to be formed in Thailand. And we have a goal for 4 and 5 to be formed in the next 6 months. Things are blowing up here and this ward split was a huge push towards another Bangkok stake.
The first two weeks of the transfer we had 95 people at church. Then the Stake President announced in sacrament meeting last week that he expected 150 to be at sacrament this week for ward conference. Our district made a big goal to spread the word around and get as many people as we could there obviously! And we saw miracles. 166 people at church, and 21 less active members were there that we could count and identify as people that do not normally come to church. It was so perfect! And they split the ward and everybody seemed really happy, the 2 new bishops are going to do an incredible job here. I'm really excited.
We are also getting a way sick deal done with the police force of Thailand. An old Bishop has been talking to the government about the missionaries teaching English to all of the police officers, starting in my area. If this deal goes through the missionaries would get great recognition and tons of opportunities to teach more investigators that have power in Thailand. Should be nice.
Sorry I have no time. We had to go downtown today to buy a suit for my companion. Got no pics from this week, sorry bros. I love you all and next weeks email will be way better.. :)
