Brother Golf got baptized according to plan! It was perfect. Gale and Great also got confirmed and I always love having confirmations and baptisms on fast Sunday because they get to hear everybody's testimonies. The members in Bangkhen are really good at having short powerful testimonies, and giving the opportunity for a lot of people to go. Brother Sagon, the LA that we have worked with forever that led his family back to church, got up and shared his testimony about the 7 years he was inactive and how he will never be able to get them back, but he's here to stay for the rest of eternity. It was so powerful.
Sister Belle, our new investigator from last week that's like a model is golden. She took a date for this Sunday and is way excited to get baptized. She was really touched by Brother Golf's testimony after he was baptized and can't wait to have an experience like his for herself. All the members love her, and she is like the most diligent investigator I've ever had. She has read through 1 Nephi already and has no problems with any commandments at all. Should be great.
More about Brother Golf's testimony, it was inssaaane. He shared like your textbook miracle story of finding the only true church. He was Christian before, but always felt like something was missing. But he turned that into his own personal testimony of God preparing him for His only true church. He said all the time he spent at the other church was just preparation time to build his testimony of the Savior and to help him be able to accept the truth faster when he finally comes in contact with it. He admitted he is someone who doesn't trust anyone, and finds a way to disprove everything, and he's a very logical thinker. But when we shared the Message of the Restoration, it just felt right, and it touched him right in the heart. Perfect.
This week was the best week of my mission. The best part is next week is gonna be the best week of my mission too. And the week after that. :) It's awesome as ever out here. I hit my year mark in country this week which is crazy, can't believe it's been a year since I was on that overnight train ride up to Chiang Mai. Good times.
