hey so quick update this week was awesome! on wednesday we switched off with the zone leaders and it was like the most productive day of my mission, which is just a coincidence [or a well timed blessing] cause im like super against changing the way i work when i do switchoffs to like impress others or something.. haha i dunno i just really really want to be the missionary that works hard because of love for the work and the master, not because of the approval of other missionaries. anyways, we went out to a member, sister ying's house and shared a meal and a spiritual thought and then just went HARD. we walked all around her neighborhood and she was just throwing referrals at us harder than we could scribble their names down in our notebooks. sister ying is such a stud! haha there was even a car driving by and she yelled at it to stop because she recognized the driver.. then it stopped then she gave me this look and said, "well? are you just gonna stand there or are you gonna come over here and baptize her?" haha it was way funny but it was true i was just looking like a deer in the headlights as i just watched this like 60 year old girl wave down a car for us. it was awesome, picked up a good handful of new investigators. missionary member relationships are so important. i cant stress that enough. so much less work would get done if we relied on ourselves and not the members and the lord.
OKAY TIME FOR SOME ALL CAPS, BROTHER SAGON CAME BACK TO CHURCH AND IT WAS THE GREATEST THING EVER. HASN'T BEEN SINCE HE WAS SERVING AS ELDER'S QUORUM PRESIDENT, AND I JUST HAD TEARS RUSH TO MY EYES AS HE WALKED THROUGH THE DOOR. another old member just went up and grabbed him and just slowly shook him and was lost for words. everyone was hugging him and just giving him so much love, it was so perfect seriously. the best was him and the bishop in elders quorum sitting next to eachother just loving it, like i said before the bishop was an investigator while brother sagon was elder's qurom president and he was a huge help in getting the bishop baptized. it was just everything all the members have been praying for for years, and the miracle isn't even close to over yet. he's bringing his kids who haven't been baptized to church next week.
I just found out there is two shift keys on the keyboard. What a world we live in. :)
One thing that I was thinkin about that was kinda cool, I probably didn't come up with it but I was just doing personal study and I thought of it. Maybe an old district leader talked about it or something. But anyways I was thinking about our hands. And how we are suppose to be tools in God's hands. We are His hands here in Thailand, representing His son. How annoying would it be if we told our hands to pick up some pizza and put it in our mouth and our hands didn't obey us? The same goes for us as missionaries. God trusts us to be obedient in order for Him to do His work. I will do whatever He asks of me. I love Him.
My grandma broke her wrist so she has to stay in Thailand for even longer! Everybody please pray for her!
